| just a lil Question | |
DwarfGourami![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hobbyist Posts: 132 Kudos: 83 Votes: 6 Registered: 01-Aug-2005 ![]() | Well heres the question, I have a 10g as you proably know in the other posts, about 2 months ago i had to deep clean it and rearange things in it and put my fish in the other 10g i had for a lil while, while i did this but while the fish tank was doing the cylcing i came home and my sister that lives next door had put my fish back into that tank and i had no softener in there yet i had no more i panic and told her that there wasnt none in there but my fish where fine she said they have been in since this morning after i left to go to town to to some things and they have been in there since thin and doing better than before 4 months ago i had 3 albino corys die one after another, and my water runs from a well on my property from a spring, i had the water tested once and they said this water was perfect the way it is for fish no need to add nothing but maybe a stress coat or something to that nature, and the thing that gets me is my fish look more brighter and coloer than before so i guess its ok.... What you think? |

If you buy distilled water or leave home treated water out for a week they should be fine. I rarely treat my water unless I need it immidiatly, and my fish do fine ![]() Inky ![]() |
DwarfGourami![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hobbyist Posts: 132 Kudos: 83 Votes: 6 Registered: 01-Aug-2005 ![]() | the thing that got me was i hadnt trested it yet i left to get some more soften for it and she had already put them in the water without it and actually so better like this too and cheaper too really i dont have to go and buy all those cheimcals but have it on hand if i need it for new fishs and do water changes weekly I started with 10% water changes then moved to 30% to keep it cleaner in there to pervent clogs in the filter. |
