I found two knives at a chain pet store, but I never seen these before.

Description: They look just like a clown knife, but ya know how the Clown has thos few spots, well this one dosen't have those spots, instead these have 7 or 8 vertical tiger like stripe lines going down the body, the overall knives are dark grey, with those black vertical lines going down the body. Has anyone ever seen these before, they only ran me $5.00 U.S. each. I bought them cuz I like knives, and I have a fish, I've never seen before. Oh! the chain store had them labeled as Clowns, but I know they're not, cuz I use to own Clowns, and these aren't them. I hope someone can help. -- thanx!!

How big are they? Baby Clown Knives have stripes.

If they are indeed large fish, they are probably Royal Knifefish, which are very beautiful fish indeed. Be warned, they also are behemoth fish, so a large tank is necessary in the future.

If they are the same dark grey color as the clowns are, then they are most likely clowns, and the lines will eventually turn into spots. If they are more of a silver color, then they could very well be the Royal, and they will keep the tiger stripes through adulthood.
