What water did you use - tap or bottled? This is about the time of year when the water companies start their yearly - flushing of the lines procedures. That would be my guess.

i changed the water like i always had. syphoned out half, added that much more water to the tank, the zebra danio fry were quite old actualy, and they haddent had a water change ever sence they were put in there, but because they were so small, and no food went to waste, i never even realy thought to do one. but, because there was so much stuff on the bottom, i dident want the worms and snails to take advantage of the cory fry, to i syphoned all of them out. i had given the cory fry a water change when i moved them to a different tank before, and i lost over half of them then, but i realy dident think much of it, they were still quite young, but then i wanted to move them to the other tank, because i could see them better. but, now all of them are simply white lumps on the bottom of their tank, i havent gotten time to clean the tank, i have also been avoiding it i grew quite attached the little zebras. and i got the cory eggs from walamrt, so they were special too.

Cory fry are very sensitive to changes in water parameters. From what I understand you are better or to either do very small WCs so as to improve the water quality only very gradually or to do WCS so frequently that when you change water, the parameters do not move. I have been warned that suddenly increasing water depth on cory fry by more than about 3 inches will kill them.
