anybody have any suggestions about what would work with shark cats? maybe something that would reach up to about 8" ? that the cat wont eat?

If you have a (very) large saltwater tank, then fish like snappers, triggers, or large damsels should work.

These fish grow so fast that it's really not worth setting up a brackish community tank for them. It's best just to grow them out in a large brackish tank alone, and then once you convert the tank to saltwater to add tankmates (if any). They need a tank of at least 120 gallons.

if it is braskish, try rays, or archers. maybe some scats, i dont think they would get eatten.

i'm looking to totally convert the large tanks to marine in about 2 or 3 yrs.
