Sounds good. you could even go with a couple more ottos and rummies if you want If I were you I would use bogwood to the same effect as the peat, since it's also very decorative... that's just a suggestion though

i agree with superlion, but you dont have to get anymore fish if you dont want to because they are fine anyway. But it wouldn't hurt to get some more would it?

You know, I think you'd be able to get away with a troupe of 5 smaller end cories. 6 ottos is pushing it for food availability, IMO.

I already have wood in there and the tannins have run out. I want to keep the bio-load down mainly because of the sensitivity of the fish and easier for maintence

In my research quests, I have been told that 1 otto per 10 gallons of tank is good to keep algae clean; so 3 should be the maximum you should put in there. I have also heard that cories are easier on the bio-load but should be kept in schools. I've often heard 5 quoted as the minimum number of cories to have, but I know of many people who only have 2 or 3. Also, cories and ottos do different cleaning jobs, so I don't think it would be a problem to have both in your tank. Good luck with your tank - I love rams and am definitely going to get a pair once my tank has been established for a couple of years.
