I want to keep the bio-load down mainly because of the sensitivity of the fish and easier for maintence |
valisneria![]() Fingerling Posts: 18 Kudos: 14 Votes: 0 Registered: 25-Feb-2005 ![]() | In my research quests, I have been told that 1 otto per 10 gallons of tank is good to keep algae clean; so 3 should be the maximum you should put in there. I have also heard that cories are easier on the bio-load but should be kept in schools. I've often heard 5 quoted as the minimum number of cories to have, but I know of many people who only have 2 or 3. Also, cories and ottos do different cleaning jobs, so I don't think it would be a problem to have both in your tank. Good luck with your tank - I love rams and am definitely going to get a pair once my tank has been established for a couple of years. |
