A few months ago I purched a 29g setup with stand from my best friend for $100. Good deal? yeah it was. Well, since my friend just moved in with her also fish-keeping fiance', they needed to downsize. I ended up with:
55 gal glass tank
lid
canopy
double whisper filter
light
heater
air pump with two air stones
crushed gravel
rock
a plant
home-made wood stand
and all the free fish!

My current stock of fish:
2 male johanii
2 female johanii
1 female peacock
1 albino zebra
1 jewel cichlid
1 yellow lab
2 pictus cats

Having a larger tank is so much more fun than a smaller tank. I'm enjoying watching them chase each other around.

So am I right in thinking you would like help stocking the 55?

Or, did you move the fish from the 29 gallon to the 55 and wish to have stocking suggestions for the 29?

Or, are you merely informing us on what you have decided to do?

I'm just stating what I got and how i'm so proud. The stocking is my 55gal.

for my 29 gal I have a paradise fish, 2 medium angels, a krib, and a pictus cat. I raised the two smaller johannis in the 29 then moved them in the 55, then got the krib and pictus.

ok, well I think then this post probably belongs in the recovery room. Your supposed to ask questions in the on topic forums, your post was on topic, but it probably belongs in the Recovery Room, just because you don't ask for advice or anything.

Sorry just so you know next time your feeling proud and want to tell people just post it in the RR

then again I could be wrong and this thread might start conversation over your tanks.

I got my pictus cats at the local department store, which I rarely do because of quality, but they looked descent. I think they were about 3.75 each, so I got three. I talked to the check out clerk when I was checking out, and she only charged me for one, so yeah, I got 2 out of 3 free. Yay!
