there was a tiny crack in the top left corner, it was fine, but when i got home from school, it was the whole length of the tank i guess i could use the tank for a snake now the fry are fine now, so i guess everything is going to be alright now except im still cleaning up the water

fishyhelper it could be much worse, trust me, I had the same problem last year...I went to work and all was fine, I came home and found 20 gallons of water in the living room floor...You can always use a rubbermaid bucket for a tank in emergencies like thismy fish lived in one for almost a month

Now to clean up the waterthis too I've become good at, and not just because of the fish tanksI have found that quilts and bedding can be used to suck up the worst of the water, then just wash them. And towels are great also...

Now if you have carpet where the problem has occurred, soak up what you can, and bring out the carpet cleaner...don't bother with spraying anything at first, just use it to suck up the water...I usually find that it is wet again the next afternoon and evening, so again soak it up...On the second or third day, use a bleach solution, about 1/2 a cup to hot water in the cleaner, and use it to spray...this will help reassure that the carpet won't get a funky smell, or moldy. You might need to do it a couple of times, but trust me it works everytime:%)
