i've got a 15g tank with
rasbora and corys i would like a bigger colourful fish, 1 or two.

so can't like being in shoals.
it's not a planted tank - quiet bare.
not aggressive or shy.

any ideas?

thank-you NFB

In a 15g with rasboras and cories I'd personally go with a pair of cherry barbs

I think I would go with a pair of one of the dwarf cichlids.

I would stay away from any of the dwarf cichlids. They will pretty much stay at the bottom of the tank and not fill your purpose very well.

I'd go with one of the dwarf gouramis. I personally love the powder blue ones.

i don't want dwarf gourami's i've had them in this tank before and i've got them in my large comunity tank - so i would like something i haven't had before, that is much bigger then rasbora, but fine for 15g

i really like the rams and dwarfs.

the tank is only 12 inches high so rams etc being towards the bottom isn't going to be any problem.

any info from experience on the dwarfs and rams? which would be better suited to rocky tank with some plastic plants?

thanks

I'm sure rams would love the tank. You could fit one, maybe two depending on how many fish you already have. They are pretty much community fish and you could easily have one, maybe more. Cherry barbs are nice, but definitely not "center piece" fish. They stay on the smaller side. Black widows are out, they are schooling tetras, so you would need to buy at least 6. But, we really need to know how many fish you have in the tank before we can answer any question.

i'm in the same boat see my thread i've just moved a gourami out of my 15g tank as it had no cover and the gourami was always hinding.

i would love to have rams blue or bolivian - prefer the blues as they are more colourful - but bolivian seem to be easier to look after.

i don't know anything about dwarf chiclids i would love to have some.

Anybody help here? - i have 6 rasbora and 4 corys plus some platy fry - only their home for abit until grown enough for me to sell on to the LFS couple more weeks
