I look forward to raising the fry. However... in 2 weeks I will be going on vacation. its a car ride of about 3 hours. around then the fry will be just starting to swim freely and I don't know what to do! ![]() The fry need constant care and none of my friends know enough about fish to properly care for them. We are renting a condo so I could bring them with me in a 5-10 gallon tank. Do you think this will be too hard on the fry though? Also if I do bring them it would be a little hard to raise bbs. I will if I have to but are there any other foods I could use instead such as liquid fry food or first bites or java moss to provide infusoria or something. please help me EDIT: I have another idea also. could i transfer the fry to a 10 gallon so they wouldnt need water changes while i was gone and provide some sort of active food source like lots of plants and java moss and maybe a brine shrimp hatchery. brine shrimp hatchery: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3212&item=4366350888 Last edited by Ethan14 at 14-Jul-2005 21:23 |

I'd get someone and start training them now. Good luck, Mike Never mind, I didn't look at the thing before I replied. I've never tried that kind of hatchery but it ought to work. Ethan14![]() Big Fish Posts: 312 Kudos: 339 Votes: 18 Registered: 06-Jul-2005 ![]() | anyone know if java moss would supply infusoria and if it did would the fry be ok eating it when they start to become freeswimming. also, do you think they could survive in a heavily planted tank for a week? |
