You are typically better off buying the tank and the necessary equipment separately as you can then get what is really needed. Also the quality is usually better. It may cost you a bit more in the long wrong, but is usually a much better way to go. Jim ![]() |

Most kits that come in boxed packages are pretty good. However, the ones that stores put together themselves are usually full of stuff they can't sell and are trying to get rid of. For example, I saw a 55 gallon "kit" that had neon pink gravel decorated with alligator heads. - Dj:88) |

I upgraded the filter and lighting eventually. Even moving a decoration from one of your established tanks would help. |
