i had to set up a 10g to house a pleco i was given by a friend, he has since decided not to have him back. so i put a dwarf gourami from my planted tank and i brought 6 glowlight tetras to keep him company.

now i've got a 60g ready to setup and no room for the 10g.

60g fish from old 40g
1 angel
1 redtail shark
1 otto
1 clown pleco
4 neon rainbows
7 h. rasbora
5 corys

40g
african cichlids

20g
1 dwarf golden ram
4 swortals
2 platies
4 neons
5 H. rasbora

where would you people house my 10g fish. can move fish around for best stockings etc. i've had the bristlenose in the old 40g before i think he caused the deaths of 4 corys by stressing them out looking for food, could risk him again in 60g. please help.

please help. shekoi

i've come up with several options please make your views on them and pick the best. could be long sorry.

option 1
60g - angel, rts clown pleco, bristlenose, 5 corys, 1 otto, 4 rainbows,
12 H. Rasbora. dwarf gourami

40g - stays same african cichlids

20g - gold ram, 6 glowlights, 4 neons, 4 swordtails, 2 platies

option 2
60g- angel, rts, clown pleco, corys, otto, rainbows, 7 H.rasbora, 6 glowlights and dwarf gourami

40g - same + bristlenose

20g - unchanged

option 3

60g - same with 12 Rasbora, dwarf gourami

40g - just cichlids + swordtails

20g - 6 glowlights, bristlenose, ram, 4 neons 2 platies

option 4

same as option 3 but put dwarf gourami in 20g and some swords into 40g to help cycle and they can cope with higher ph and hardness.

option 5

suggestions?

cheers shekoi

The common Pleco will get too big & i suggest giving him back to your LFS.
Try to keep the Rasboras, Glowlight & Neons together.

Hi,
Actually, it sounds like a serious infection of MTS.
(Multiple Tank Syndrome)

Your only help will come from the assistance of close
friends and spouse who's comments about the abnormal
amount of tanks scattered around the home and the hours
of time spent on tank maintenance may finally sink in.
When it does, then you will be left in the same quandary
as today... What to do with the excess fish...

The answer is, of course, buy more tanks add onto the
house, get a second job....

Many are affected... few survive...

Unless your spouse is like mine. Every time I get that
"gleam in my eye" and take out a tape measure, she follows
me around the house, and each time I stop and measure, she
says "NO." Sometimes in my fog, or depending on where I
stop, she says something like "DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT."
Soon I quit and put the tape back in the tool
box. Then I go back to my easy chair, and pick up the
latest issue of THE AQUATIC GARDENER, or AFM and drift
off into dreamland. "What if...."

I just know I can fit a 6 foot 240G tank "somewhere."

Frank

got it in one Frank!]

its the woman whos making me get rid of the 10g otherwise i wouldn't even have a problem. i could always find room for new tanks somewhere, but all i hear is " this house looks more like an aquarium then a home, no more" so all i've got permission for at the momment is an upgrade on my 40g and to setup the 40gallon again as long as at least one of the small ones go.

what she doesn't know at the momment i've just put an offer in on a 4ft complete marine setup.
