Sonic2041![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Enthusiast Posts: 152 Kudos: 142 Votes: 19 Registered: 19-Dec-2004 ![]() | i have a heavily planted 20 gallon tank. right now the stocking is: 2 rosy barbs 3 tiger barbs (i am going to add more) 1 rainbow shark 1 upsidedown catfish some of the plants in the tank have algae on there leaves, it is not hair algae and it isn't the really slimy kind either, it is more of a brownish color. i am wondering if dwarf otocinclus would eat this, and if they would be compatible with the other fish. also, how many tiger barbs would be good for that tank. i used to have 6 but then the tank got ick. |

They are hands down in my opinion the best cure for algae ever.I just wish they were a larger fish so I could use them in my cichlid tanks instead of pleco's. As to how many tigers, in a 20 with your current stocking I would say no more than 8 total, otherwise you risk crowding your tank. 8 will still give you a nice mini school and still allow the other occupants of your tank room to live. |

They don't usually get larger than five inches, so you'll have plenty of room for it. |
