Hi all, I'm thinking of buying one final species for my 45g tank (thinking of glass catfish or gouramis). I want your opinions. Am I already at max capacity, or do I have room for a bit more?

My tank:
4 neon dwarf rainbows
6 cherry barbs
5 rummynose tetras
9 peppered corys

Thanks everyone!

I think you are full, But if you keep up with water changes, I think you get get by with adding a dwarf gourami. I would not add the glass cats, as they are schooling, and you definately dont have room for a school.

I would be extremly carefull as what you place in the tank. Maybe a few small Otos as they are small. I did say "May be". Also you must keep up a good regular maintainence program especialy the percentage of water you change. As well as keeping the filters and the substrate clean.
Every thing depends on your tank and the maintainence you carry out.

Glass catfish are schoolers, so I don't think you have the space for them.

A dwarf gourami might be ok, like the others have said a lot depends on your filtration and tank maintenance.
