"Peaceful when young, though grows agressive with age. Pictus catfish are shoaling and prefer to have the company of their own kind. Good for community tanks with medium sized fish. Will eat small fish such as Neons." I would trade the 2 of them for 6 cories. Other than that I'd say your pretty full. Last edited by Booger at 25-Jan-2005 05:29 |

I'd lose the pictus cats as well; although cute, IMO they do more harm than good unless you have the perfect tank for them. A shoal of 6+ smaller cories would be much nicer. Be warned, small silver dollars don't stay small. They can get to a considerable size and I believe they like to schoool... *goes off to calculate gallonage* -Formerly known as the Ferretfish ![]() |

Out of the stock you said you want, you are safe with the 2 angels, the dwarf cichlids, and the cardinal tetras. As others mentioned, the pictus cats won't work because they grow large, are predatory, and like to be in groups. Also as mentioned, the silver dollars like to school and grow very large. Neither species will fit in your tank when fully grown. Since it is a South American biotope (I'm currently working on one myself ), you can get a school of 6-10 corys (the same species), a whiptail cat]http://fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/whiptail.xmHTH Last edited by gartenzwerfe at 25-Jan-2005 09:24 |

They are schooling and would prefer more space to swim. Additionally you may find your cards start to dissapear....pictus are known for eating anything they can fit in their mouths and catch. Since they have big mouths and are rather fast the cards may be invited for lunch if they like it or not .^_^ ![]() Current [link=Contest Rules]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Aquascaping/44382.html?200412022138" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link] ![]() |

But really it's up to you. Browse the profiles choose fish you like then ask us if they will work. ![]() |
