as some of you may know, i have two female platies that are very U shaped, and it was brought to my attenison that they were going to drop anyday now, but the problem is that this is about 2 weeks ago. is there any thing i can do, or just wait.

If the platy females are ready to drop I would avoid moving them from their present enclosure in order not to stress them. As far as them being "U" shaped, I would think initially that this resulted from a congenital defect that commonly plagues the various species of livebearers or the presence of old age or frequent pregnancies that may be the cause of a spinal curvature.
