My backup water heater, a 50w I use during winter to boost the heating for my fishtank has a minimum water line marked.

I saw somewhere on this site that someone else had a water heater with the same line and the consensus was that it shouldn't be fully immersed in water. I think

What do others think? Should i fuly immerse

EDIT: Sorry, I thought it was "maximum" mark. Anyhow, I stand by my statement and suggest you follow the directions on the heater.

I think you will find most heaters have a minium mark.
If it was not to be submersed it should have a maximum mark as well.

If you still have the box check that or ask where you bought it from.
