They're not the tightest schoolers, but they're pretty nice tetras too... ![]() PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread. |

mariosim![]() Enthusiast Posts: 207 Kudos: 245 Votes: 20 Registered: 28-Jul-2004 ![]() | my black skirts nip at nothing (a school of ten in a 150 gall) my scissor tails and glass catfish are also peaceful tankmates. |
kidsmom![]() Enthusiast Posts: 182 Votes: 1 Registered: 22-Sep-2003 ![]() | Ok so black tetras are out because of the nipping and neon tetras are out because of the natural prey thing. Thanks for the information. I think I will go with the harlequin hasboras and maybe 3 platies. Last edited by kidsmom at 29-Apr-2005 18:52 |

I wouldn't go with them... ![]() PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread. |
kidsmom![]() Enthusiast Posts: 182 Votes: 1 Registered: 22-Sep-2003 ![]() | I heard that angels like to eat neons. My angels are small about the size of a quarter now but what about later when they get bigger? |

kidsmom![]() Enthusiast Posts: 182 Votes: 1 Registered: 22-Sep-2003 ![]() | I thought I read somewhere that black tetras nip. So it looks like the rasboras are the winners. Has anyone kept platies before? |

They not only look nice but very hardy to boot. Had a small school in with my two dwarf blue gouramis for a long time and got along very well. |

kidsmom![]() Enthusiast Posts: 182 Votes: 1 Registered: 22-Sep-2003 ![]() | I have a pearl and opaline gourami. What about platies are they good schooling fish? |

Peaceful, nice colors, and very good schoolers. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

I'd suggest harleqiun rasboras, though. They are less nippy than some of the bigger tetras and will not get eaten, like neons. What kind of gouramis are they? |
