should i try to breed my female betta with my male betta gone . im just afraid that he will kill her he practicly did it to her the first time i tryed to breed them
he isnt a real agresive batta but why did he try to well kill her? he bilds bubble nest alot and makes them thik and long and wide so i know that he would be a good father but what should i do.

the reson i was going to breed her with him is because he did this very strang thing the other day
he got int the embrasing position it was so weird and he did it right infront of me
ther wasnt even a female in or near him ( tell me what u think ok
thanks

that often happens, they will wrap with no female.

i have never had any breeding case where the male has even came close to killing a female, so the only thing i can think of

1) this is a male who will make his bubble nest big, and isn't into wrapping so fast
2) female was released to earliy

and alsiha, when u are breeding them, always have someone watch them, so that doesn't happen, if u see he is overly aggressive, put her back into (what ever that she was in)

oops didn't answer the question,

i would say no for right now. just b/c he may want to breed, doesn't mean she is.

Make sure that both Betta's are ready to breed, before relesing her. Watch them breed & if you see something strange, just divide them.
