I have a small tank 6l that i got started with but since i got my larger tank i do not know what best to put in the 6l it as i still want to keep it (nostalgic)I tought keep a single medium size fish but a friend said best to keep a few tiny fish like neons now i am confiused PS it is fully se up with heater air pump filter rocks gravel every thing basicaly

No neons, or any type of schooling fish incuding danios, tetras or barbs. They need to be in schools and they need swimming room.

Best bet is to go with a male betta with a minimum of weekly water changes. Other options may include some of the smaller shrimp or african dwarf frogs.

You got the wrong information. That is a very small tank and schooling fish such as neons or danios should not be kept in a tank that size especially danios as they are active swimmers. A single betta would work or as babel said a shrimp or other invertabrates. And welcome to fp .
