Hi there, there are the clown loaches as an option, since you do have the larger tank for the future, but you were planning a mbuna tank right? Not sure how even a large clown would handle being with them, water parameters might not match either though *shrug*

Another option would be [link=botia sidthimunki]http://www.loaches.com/species_pages/botia_sidthimunki.html" style="COLOR: #FF1493[/link] They stay relatively small, and supposedly snails ...they get to be about 4 cm roughly (according to Aquarium Fishes of te World) so would be a good size toget 4 or so of them for your 55 gallon...

I'm not sure of the availability of them though, but it would be interesting to check into and see if they are readily available.

well, maybe this sin't right, but since u do have a 150 for later, why not clown loaches, and when they get to big, move them over. but there are also chems, avalible to use.
