Not sure how even a large clown would handle being with them, water parameters might not match either though *shrug* Another option would be [link=botia sidthimunki]http://www.loaches.com/species_pages/botia_sidthimunki.html" style="COLOR: #FF1493[/link] They stay relatively small, and supposedly snails ...they get to be about 4 cm roughly (according to Aquarium Fishes of te World) so would be a good size toget 4 or so of them for your 55 gallon...I'm not sure of the availability of them though, but it would be interesting to check into and see if they are readily available.
