45g currently has six cories, one BN, and one RTBS so now I need to stock the rest of the tank.

I know tiger barbs are an option; are there any other schoolers that would be ok with the RTBS?

Any centerpiece fish suggestions as well would be appreciated

what about some hatchets to put some life at the top of the tank

The difference between 'involvement' and 'commitment' is like an bacon and egg breakfast: the chicken was 'involved' - the pig was 'committed'."

As a centerpiece, what about a blue/gold gourami? Or are you looking for something more "exotic"?

As for schoolers, harleys would be nice, or perhaps some rainbows? Just some suggestions...

I think you mean eihter black neons, or emporer tetras, no black cardinal tetras. Black skirts or black phantoms would look nice, and you could go with a blue or gold gourami for a centerpiece.

ah, but if u look @ 'black neons', the black stripe runs the length of the body just like in the cardinal, whereas in a black neon the stripe wud technicaly run 1/2 the body length like in the neon

You're right, but when they named them black "neons" they obviously didn't think of that. Some people may not know what you mean by black cardinals though.

How about Boesemani Rainbowfish?

I'm currently planning a 75 gallon tank for a Rainbow Shark. The tankmates that I'm thinking about using are some larger Cories, male Swordtails, and a school of Boesemani Rainbowfish.

So average-sized schoolers would be safe?

As far as the cories I posted about them to make sure. The RTBS is young/small so hopefully there won't be future problems as it grows.
