semi plants, with a low driftwood ceneter.

currently empty, temp: 79 *F and ph = 7.8

if it matters the frame/stand is black, with natural colored gravel. what do u think?

I don't know about stocking but that sounds pretty interesting. Yu should post some pics!

75 gallons is a good sized tank so your options are pretty much limitless right now. Do you have any preferences? If so that might help as to stocking. Do you have any sort of theme you want to work with? MAybe a favorite fish you want to start with? If you could give a few more specifics to start with that would be great.

What i think...well you could have 4 Angels, some tetras like Black phantoms,Rummynose and gouramis or go with some Mbuna cichlids... just a few to mention

i am not a big fan of houndreds of little fishes, or gouramies, or livebearers, or other labyriths, and not really barb/tetras, kinda hard to work with, but i already have tanks like that, want something new, but no other than taht nothing really set in my mind.

In a tank that size I'd probably try to realize my dream of breeding my krib. I would put a few cichlids of the same species in and wait for a mated pair to develope then take out the rest and observe their behavoir.

Sound sliek you need either a cichlid tank or a SW tank. I doubt you wanna go SW so sounds like cichlids are callin' your name. I guess you need to decide what kind of cichlid really "floats your boat" and go from there at this point.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help; I am more into the smaller schooling fish such as tetras because there is more activity in the tank that way.

What are the dimensions on the tank? The only round tanks I've seen around here are -extremely- tall without much swimming room.
Angels -would- look great in a tank like that, especially if you get big angels. Some tetras are actually pretty big, like Penguins, Black Skirts, Buenos Aires, and Emporor Tetras. Or maybe discus, or a bunch of shellies and then a top-dwelling Tang with lots of pretty rockwork? (I know nearly nothing about Tangs, though, so I can't suggest something that would work.) And your PH is pretty high already, so if you took out the driftwood, it would work pretty well, I think.
Best of luck.

ok this is what i would do if i had another 75G to set up

i would have

3 - 5 firemouth cichlids
2 - kribs
1 - pleco (any species)
a shoal of about 10 - 15 cories.
a big shaol of large tetras, Black phantoms - Silver tips? i dunno witch species you are interested in.

planter very well with alot of hiding plaaces

the other option would be Discus. or angels.

6x2x2 - Firemouth and Oscar Tank
30+ royal pythons.

Back in the game after 4 years out ..
