I have a perfect stock freshwater comunity tank that is 10 gallons.
I recently saved up for a 30 gal and would like some imput on how to stock it. remember i have 10 inches of fish already and i want smaller fish (1-4 inches).so your imput would be good. thanks C.J.T

First I'd prolly suggest filling out your schools.

The cories are shoaling fish and should be in a group of six, as should the tetras and danios. What kind of tetras do you have?

The one inch per gallon rule isn' really accurate...I mean, six 1" neon tetras do not have the same effect on the bio load and one 6" oscar would, so you can't really go by that.

And if you do want to use it as a guideline, keep in mind it's one inch of ADULT fish per gallon.

I wouldn't add any fish until you're sure that the new tank has completed its cycle. You could think about transferring the gravel and the filter from your ten to your thirty to help the cycle. Once the cycles complete I would think about the following:

How many tetras do you have and what species? If you have less than six of any tetra species you should add more. They like to be in school of 6+

The cories also like to be in groups of 6+

Depending on how many you already have, you may need to add a couple of danios too.

The chinese algae eater isn't a good tankmate for your peaceful 30-gal. community. First of all he'll get way too big (up to 11" ) and second of all he'll get aggressive and start killing your other fish. You should think about replacing him with a small group of otos

Once you filled out your schools and replaced the algae eater you could think about couple of German or Bolivian rams. A dwarf gourami or a pair of cherry barbs (one male, one female) would be a colorful addition.

I hope that this helps.
