| stocking order - does it matter | |
newmand![]() Fingerling Posts: 45 Votes: 0 Registered: 13-Mar-2005 | Sorry - I posted this earlier in the wrong section - ba 4 small angels rather than 6 (at least small to begin with) 3 pearl gouramis rather than 3 spot gouramis a school of 8 to 10 cardinal tetras rather than lemon tetras, black skirts or serpae a school of 6 to 8 mellini cories QUESTION: does stocking order matter - in what order would you stock the tank? should I add the angels first and let them get adjusted and then add the cardinals or vice versa and let the cardinals grow out a bit and then add the small angels so the cardinals don't become lunch or does it just not matter and nature will take its course - I'm less concerned about the stocking order for the cories and gouramis but any thoughts on those fish would be appreciated as well - I don't want to add everything at once - the tank finished cycling a couple of weeks ago - the zebra danios made it through in fine shape but now it is time to move on - thanks much |

Wait a week, week and a half, and add up your cories. Add the gouramis and angels last, after another week, week and a half after the cories. Keep an eye on those gouramis, make sure they don't whoop on your angels ![]() Good luck, and always test the water before you add more fish to make sure your tank has caught up with the last batch of fish. |
