how about 4 more zebra danios, and maybe some cories to bring some attention to the bottom of the tank? rainbowfish would probably look nice in your tank as well.

I agree with Zach. A few more danios is a great idea. They look -amazing- in groups. I saw 20 of them in a 75 gallon tank and I just couldn't stop watching them. Do you like khuli loaches? In a 40 gallon tank, you can get a nice-sized group of 'em. They're really fun to watch when you feed the tank. They race around the tank like little food-seeking missiles, and then all of 'em wriggle around while they eat. One of my neighbor-kids really gets a kick out of dropping an earthworm pellet in the tank and saying 'zoom zoooom, fishies!!'

Maybe I should stop giving her so much candy.
