i dont know alot about guppies however, i would think them sitting at the bottom of the tank would be bad. i have 2 tanks one 29 that has a million fish (many have told me im crazy) but i can do no wrong in that tank its got 14x filteration and is doing great. now i only have 6 guppies and 1 dwarf gouramis and 2 mystery snails in the 10 gal with 12x filteration. i wake up this morning and find a couple of the guppies sitting on the gravel. to me that looks like there is to much amm in the tank or maybe thats how they sleep when the lights are off. i looked at the guppies in my 29 and they dont seem to be doing that. well i just added or re-added the guppies last night from my 29 gal. how could there be too much amm.? im not certain cause my tests went belly up and i have to get some new ones.

am i missing somthing?

Anything else in the tank with them? Could the pH be different between the two tanks?

Until we can get some test results we cant tell you much.

Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
