ARGH!!!!!!!! I don't know what key sequence I keep hitting but it is always erasing whatever I am typing]:|and ctrl z doesn't bring it back, ctrl v doesn't paste it back]:|Now back to retyping what I typed to begin with]:|

You might not want to know how my tanks are

55 gallon still leaks like a seive, and I'm being lazy about resealing the reseal, or even taking it to someone else to reseal

125 gallon still has leeches, though I haven't been seeing as manyI still have not treated the tank, because again I'm to flipping lazy to race back and forth the 6 ft with my arm getting cut off at the armpit from playing catch in a tank that is a bit too tall to comfortably play catch in for long:%)But, I have decided that I am going to just get a couple of rubbermaid containers as temporary tanks soon, so I'll get this done and over with...

Since the 125 still has leeches in it, the 20 and 29 are both way over stocked so I'm doing 30% water changes on them every 2-3 days (like this is any easier than just going ahead and taking care of the problem with the 125But, the metae girl in the 20 seems to be quite happy with her gentleman caller, though he at times wishes she would leave him alone

The 10 gallon hospital tank is fixing to be torn down and decontaminated, as Psycho (female betta) is feeling quite fine these days, has her balance and is swimming like she should, with no problems with pop-eye or anything else at this point

The rest of the betta girls and boys are happy as can be, and the boys are building bubblenests constantly

Oh and there is still a 10 gallon in the bed of my truckI really need to get off my rear and do some major fish keeping stuff don't I? How long can a 10 gallon stay in the bed of my truck and be ok? So far no cracks, and noone seems to even want to look at my truckI'll have to make sure it is water tight before I even think about doing anything with it again...

OK that is my tanksI think I'll definately have to do something soon to take care of the 125, I just don't feel like itanyone want some leech filled gravel? I'll be replacing it in the process of getting rid of the leeches

My tank's around 85 degrees. It has been really hot lately! It doesn't seem to effect my fish though.

My tank is fine, thanks to the AC.

I was on vacation 2 weeks ago and the neighbor took care of the feeding. The tank reached 90F

Everybody survived

Everyone is doing fine. I just turn off the heaters since I keep my house at a constant 77 or 78 degrees during the summer and airconditioning season.

Up to now i had 3 deaths due to excessive heat. 1 was an Albino Corydoras & the other 2 where female Guppy's. I'm planning to built some tanks in the basement & in summer it will be 5 degreece less than in the house.

Oh Jason:#(

I know how hard it is to try and keep fish without the AC to help balance the tanks...I think the only reason I haven't cut off the heaters on the tanks yet, is due to the fact it is summer, and I can't get "cool" water to do the water changes with, unless I run it in the refrigeratorand then it would be too cold...each time I go to do water changes for now it's late at night/early in the morning, and I have to test each pipe area (bathroom sink, shower head pipe, kitchen sink) to see which is coolest, and then I'm still holding the python up above the water, so it cools a little as it's falling and splashing in the tank

But, so far the 125 hasn't gone about 79*, the 29 sits at about 78*, the betta boy 10 sits at 74*, the hospital tank feels about 80* (that's what the heater is set on, don't yell I know I need another thermometer for that tank), and the 20 gallon is running about 83-85* (not happy with it, but constant water changes, and additional airstones are helping i'm sure, along with the fact the lights don't come on it too often...and the small betta tanksI think they are about 77* or so

Now Little_Fish, your tank got up to 90* and everyone is ok? What happened? A heat spike while you were away? heater go insane? or the AC not coming on and off? I'm glad they all survived so well, especially the platties

So does anyone know how to get my tap water to be cooler coming out of the faucet? I think I'm just doomed on getting it cooler since I live in Texas and today it's supposed to be a heat index of 115*

I don't have an AC where the fish tanks are, but i try to keep the tank cool by placing frozen bottles in the filter. Hopefully i'm going to transfer the fish to the basement & next year i shouldn't have any problems with high water temperatures.
