Would any of you risk putting hours old guppy fry in a breeding net with 6 sparkling gourami fry (smallest being ~1/2 inch, largest ~3/4 inch)? Do you think they'd get eaten, or do you think they'd be ok? After a CRAZY day at work, I don't trust myself to be thinking clearly

Thanks!

Aw man, I was expecting something funny!
Give it a go. Guppies pop out new fry all the time and the knowledge you'd get is more important than the actualy batch.

I'm pretty sure they'd be OK. Try and see

I know this sounds like a pretty mean approach, but i would try it out becuase i am sure the guppies will get eaten in the tank (unless there are millions of plants) but they might survive in the guppy net. And by the way, it is not a dumb question, i have become so dependent on fp i can never make a desicion without input! lol....

Yeah, I'd rather the gouramis eat the guppies than the other way around! Guppies pop out every few weeks. Gouramis are picky, and sparkiling are extremely rare 'round these parts!

Well I put all the gups in the net with the gouramis. I tried it out with just a couple of them, and let them be for a night and a day. Nothing happened, so I added the rest. So far, so good
