i was in my lfs yesterday and saw a tire track eel. so naturaly my dad asks me about it (care requirements, temperment, etc.) and i know nothing about it. they look cool and i have to plan a stock for my new 35gal (cycling) and i wanna consider one or two eels for my new tank. so what i wanna know is how do you care for these things,(this may sound dumb) what do they eat, will they harrass their tank mates 3(soon to be more)neon tetras, 2(soon to be more)zebra danios, 3 three spot gouramis, 1siamese algae eater(leaving soon), 1(soon to be more)bronze corydoras catfish, 2(soon to be more)silvertip tetras and,2 lyretail mollies.
so basicly i just want to get info on this eel and others compatable with my current stock.

All the above mentioned fish accept the gouramis are in a 10gal (i know i know too small, thats my reason for the 35). the gouramis are cycling the 35 for me

please reply quickly

Thanks C.J.T:88)

Check out this link. Although not the same species I believe that the care and characteristics are very similar.

they like a smooth soft substrate as they hide in it often
they love blood worms n ghost shrimp
easily trained to eat from ur hand
nice pets
dont harrass other tankmates
good at getting out of tanks though
should b fed everyday as it is not a true eel
they do get larger then there cusin the peacock eel
prefer warmer water soft n acidic being the best
