my mistake ^

im transporting my big fish tomorrow to a lfs so i can move my tank. what would be they best way to transport my fish to the lfs?

I actually have a large net thet came with my Wal-Mart pool. That seemed to work fine with my Arowanas and pacus. I suggest if you have any friends with a Wal-Mart bought pool to see if you may somehow use there already bought net to attain your fishes. Cause I know Id rather have a net catch them than me.

thanks sir eds and welcome to fp. think i might just do the old worm on the hook trick to get them out then put them in a 20usg tub for the trip.

I always use a large ice chest myself to transport them, it always works for me...but a 20 gallon tub type thing with lid will work fine, have done that also :%) best of luck in whatever you choose...but why are you moving the tank may I ask? and how far?--Heidi

For bigger fish and if the place that you are dropping them off is not to far away i use cooler. And put some aquarium water in there and the fish. YOu will ahve to drive carefully to reduce the stress and to keep from water splashing everywhere but hey, it works.
