Links to the previous posts on this little guy for those who haven't been closely watching

He's ~3.5 months old now, very cichlid looking, not quite 1" long. He has distinct markings now which remind me of a keyhole.

To give him more room to grow & swim I moved him into my 29g a few days ago. I also wanted him to get used to being with other fish. His tankmates are gold barbs, platies, two male keyholes, loaches, and a BN. Occasionally one of the keyholes will chase him but they're the self-appointed rulers of the tank

This is the best pic I could get before my camera batteries died ]:| He is still fascinated with his reflection

I like it, although I have to confess that I am confused:%)

Which one of the two is it, or am I seeing double? I guess it’s the one on the right, with only one spot.

To me he looks a bit like a Bolvian Ram in a way

Glad to hear he is doing good

LF I think it is the one on the left.

Neat little thing. Are you going to name it? If so, maybe call it Narcissus or something along those lines.

Sorry, it's the one on the left.

I still don't know the sex, I'm only assuming male because of its distinct, very pointed dorsal fin. I like the name Narcissus, although it longer than he is right now

Ram hadn't even crossed my mind but he does look like one. The parents are definitely GT and blue acara...it'll be interesting to see how his looks change as he grows.

Actually, I was just as right as you are when I implied that the fish in question is the one on the right, as it is its reflection and both are only reflections in an image of the actual fish (I am crazy, I know ).

Anyway, after looking at the pic again and with you pointing me in the right direction, I can see now that it is the reflection. As soon as I am done with this post I will see and eye-doctor to re-check my vision
