hello!

Before I make suggestions how big is your tank? and how often do you do Water changes? - all will help to work out what else you can fit in there!

i wouldn't add anything, else, u didn't specify what the sex is of the livebearers which will lead to breeding, and there by overstocking ur tank even more.

Cories should be in groups i think? maybe six how many do you have?

Ten gallons can be very easy to over stock, is it your first tank?

Depending on water quality - do you have live plants? how big is your filter? you could probably add to the Cories?

its tough, some people go by water Quality to decide stocking levels others have hard and fast rules about tank size and some follow the square inches rule although that rule is regularly disputed here!

Guppies do breed lots! Could you pass out the fry to friends? back to the LFS?

or maybe if there was a particular fish you were aiming for you could trade?

this is a link to Kittens fantastic Article on Small tanks she talks about every thing up to a 10 G give you some clue of who fits in what? i will have a look for ten G stocking articles as well

As most have said or implied you're overstocked I'm sorry to be blunt, but you are overstocked, so there isn't anything else you can or should put in the tank. You are also in trouble with your corriesThey need to be in a school of at least 6, but truly the more the merrier as far as corries go, no matter what type you have...but even though I'm saying that, you can't put anything else in that tank, and if you do have any females in there you are going to be overstocked (if you're not already) very very very soon...sorry to be so blunt, and upsetting I know, heidi

As already stated, you're overstocked & i would take the Corydoras back to the LFS, as they need to stay in schools & not on their own.

I would make sure your platy and guppys are all female or all male. You can check this by a fin known as the ganopodium. If the fish has a ganopodium, it is male, if there is a fan shaped anal fin there instead, it is female. The ganopodium is a cylindrical fin that the male uses to fertilize the females which is where the anal fin would be...so if your guppy's and platy's all have this ganopodium then you should be fine...if you ahve a mix then you should return one sex or the other.

Take the cory back as well...you are probably tired of hearing this, but they really need a group of 6 to be happy...and you can't add 6 more fish without being overstocked.

I hate to be ugly againbut I feel I need to
Your cory may appear fine to you, but they are very social creatures. They feel safer in large groups, they will be more active in large groups, and they will be happier. One of the reasons s/he is sleeping in the cup is because he probably doesn't feel totally safe and comfortable. Do him a favor, get him a larger tank with plenty of friends or take him backI know it's a hard thing to think about but it will be for the best. Honestly I suggest you go and get a 20 or 29 and get him 5 or more friends and transfer everyone from the 10 to the new tankyou'll be happy you did

Cories do need to be in groups, they don't live alone in the wild and whilst a fish tank isn't the wild by a good long way we really should do the best we can to make pretty close(obviously we are still miles out!!)

I do over stock my tanks, it takes a heck of a lot of testing and WCing to keep the water up to standard. I have plants as well and over filter which helps, but I don't recommend you do this, it is not fair on the fish at all.

Once you start in this hobby you don't really stop so give in now and go get a 29G, have some real fun.10G are a pain to stock and you can NEVER have just one fish tank.

one more comment
if you are going to really get into this hobby let's not even waste the time with a 29let's go with 125then you can have one heck of a good time and then with 30 corries you can see just how much fun they can be Then you won't have to worry whether you have male and female livebearers, just let them do what they do best
