Yes, Gouramis & Corydoras would be fine. Just remember to get a school of Corydoras & not only one.

Sounds basically good to me

But:

- Get some of the smaller Cories, maybe 5
- The Gouramies might not get along. What are you planning to add - 2 males? You just might have to bring one back if the fighting for dominance is getting too rough.

Hope this helps,

Ingo

killies!
and more killies
You buy the eggs online and hatch the eggs yourself. And with 40+ eggs for $20 (including shipping and handling!) you could stock a tank very cheaply with these beauties.

Don't add any of them to start the tank. In my experience they like established tanks. Start with a nice school of tetras or a similar fish.

20 Gallon Long:
Aquaclear 300
2 Bolivian Rams, Mikrogeophagus altispinosus: Gumby and Pokey

I have kept 2 male dwarf gouramis in my 20 long. If they have some other faster moving fish(another reason for the tetras) to distract them and a decent amount of plants and stuff to hide in so they feel more secure with each other.
