OK sometime ago, (May or June?) I posted a picture of a fish, asking if it might be a Juvenile Emperor Tetra. The concensus was that it was...well, several months have passed. The fish in question has grown, but is not "turning into an Emperor Tetra". I'm really beginning to think he isn't...

Last night at the LFS I asked Don, the fishguy there, and he suspects, just by the description and the spontaneous generation of sorts, that it might be a wild florida kili fish...so would someone like to confirm his thought or identify this silly fish? I really did not buy himbut, it could have come in on some plants as an egg? Heck if I know, does anyone else? Thanks heidi

It's a Bluefin Killie. Yours looks like a very young male, judging by the red coloration in the caudal fin (females usually do not have any red).

I made a profile for them [link=here]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/lucaniagoodei.xml" style="COLOR: #FFFFFF[/link].

The picture in the profile doesn't work, but here's what it's supposed to be (my male Bluefin Killie).

Not a white cloud. I have both normal and golden wcmms and they don't look like Houston's mystery fish.

Thanks CoryAddict...I can see how he is beginning to look like the Killie now Hard to believe s/he came in with plants...i figured it was an emperor fry at first, and others agreed...So yes, I'll go with the Killie, and I guess I'll keep itwhy not

This is the reason it can't be a whitecloud or goldenwhitecloud...pic comparison...thanks leslie, these are her white clouds...

Most definitely not a Tanichthys micagemmae either... I found a very nice picture online for comparison: [link=http://f21.aaa.livedoor.jp/~niobu/pic4/DSCN7103s.jpg]http://f21.aaa.livedoor.jp/~niobu/pic4/DSCN7103s.jpg" style="COLOR: #808080[/link]

I'm not a killifish guy, but they look pretty close to me.
