With smaller fish, you can keep more. That alone makes smaller fish better (in my opinion) to have than larger ones. Also, some of the most active and entertaining fish are small, like cories, many Characin species, barbs, shell-dwellers, and danios. On top of that, it seems that there are more colorful small fish than there are colorful large fish. I just like little fish better than big ones, period.

IMO big fish, big Cichlids in particular are more interesting than a bunch of smaller fish. They interact in a way danios tetras and cories can't.

Go for the big ones, Mike

Combine the two. No, not literally, that would be bad.

Go with small cichlids! Like ... say ... shelldwellers!
