20 gallon, heavily planted, Aqua Clear 200, 100 watt heater:

5 neon dwarf rainbows
4 golden wonder killies

and if i have room, maybe a few bottom feeders?

how's that sound? i need input!

I think that setup would be just fine. Keep in mind if you get the rainbows, they will eat any eggs the killies produce.
I would say go with an even number of rainbows-6, and the 4 golden wonder killies.
You could top this off with some pygmy corys, or another smaller species of cory like aggassizi, trilineatus, etc. (peppers and bronze/albinos get quite large).

speaking of killifish breeding...how easy is it to breed golden wonder killies?

and even though all the pictures i've ever taken have come out blurry and low quality, i'll make sure to post some once i get things going. thanks

If you want to breed killies, I am of the understanding you require just a few simple things:
1)A Killie only tank -10 gallons work great, 20 would be fine too im sure
2)A spawning mop of some type, a dense thicket of java moss surrounded on 3 sides densely by hornwort, anachris or cabomba I have heard this set up works great
3) Heater, slow flowing filter, and air stone.
4) A bunch of killiefish! I have heard they are the egglaying equivalents of guppies!

You could probably turn a nice little sum if you bred killies! 2 10g tanks would be sufficient Im sure.
