Congratulations! Do you have any idea of what species you plan to put in the tank?

well, we're going to plant it. we're both low tech freaks, so it's going to be heavily planted with currently an unknown substrate, we only got it now because we knew it would have been snapped up quickly (you can see the price on it), so until I get better, I get to plan what will be in it.

It will be planted, with probably rainbows, tetras, a queen arabesque pleco (maybe - if i can get my hands on some), and some small cichlids, like some apistogrammas.. maybe even a couple angelfish or something.[/font]

This is the same tank that I purchased at a LFS that was going out of business. It's very nice! I also planted mine with rainbows & cory. Good Luck!

If you plan on getting queens, I'd shy away from flourite. It tends to tear and scratch some awful; especially with hefty bottom feeders such as loricariids.

Great fins--bowfronts are always the most fun to aquascape :0.

That looks as if it would make a *perfect* home for yet more Panda Corys

not pandas, was thinking corydoras concolor or some pygmy cories.

we're going to be getting a fine substrate (hubby wants coarse gravel, but i've had success with the finer stuff), heavily plant it dutch style.

i'm going to be going for the lesser known species of fish i hope, which will be fun

If you're doing a Dutch aquascape, next time I see that tank, it had better be choking on dwarf hairgrass.

If you are going for heavily planted then I would suggest fine gravel, sand is not good for growing plants and neither is large gravel.

Good Luck! Post some picz when it is set up can't wait to see it!

Glosso is quite pretty as well, and--I agree--much less demanding. Good luck with that .
