Cant seem to find any images though.

Can you call the LFS back and ask if they have a scientific name on the fish?

nope thats not the fish. I was looking at the bucktooth tetra it resembles that but i dont think it was agressive because of the other fish in there.

The stores around here have been selling a yellow colored barb as a "red glass barb." It is very yellow and has hints of orange or red and a black dot near its caudal fin. From what I've been able to find online it is an adaptation of the rosy barb. Does the fish that you saw look similar to a rosy barb only more yellow??

I've been trying to find a good photo of the red glass barb, but haven't been very successful. Try this page
http://www.jackspets.com/freshwaterabb.htm

There is also a photo, although not much better, on this page.
http://www.5dtropical.com/product/5dftrfish.htm

'fraid that's about the best I can do. The fish I've seen in the store are much more yellow than they appear in the photos.
