What size tank?

What is your sp. gravity?

How often are you changing water?

What do you use for source water?

What kind of clean up crew do you have?

What are you feeding, how much, how often?

Skimmer, how is it performing?

What kind of light, how many watts, how old are the bubls?

Any syptoms for the lost fish? torn fins? looked/acted weird before dying?

What do you do for filtration?

How much water movement?

What kind of fish died?

What kind of anemone looks bad(how does it look bad)? Pics?

What anemone looks good?

Other fish, how are they doing?

Edit: Found the article I was looking for: Algae.

Phosphate levels?

Alkalinity (dKH)?

temp.?

How old is the tank?

How often do you top off for evaporation?

What kind of substrate are you using?

What, if anything are you dosing to the tank?

Ill let you answer all those questions first before asking more

That definitely didn't answer all the questions.

We can't really help you if you don't give us most(if not all) of the information we asked for*shrugs*.

No, I don't generally recommend large overhauls, small partial water changes is where it's at. Unless something is really out of whack, and we can't figure that out unless you give us some more info.

and I hope you don't mean that you are topping off with salt water...I hope you just meant you needed to do a water change.

Water evaporates, but only the freshwater does. Therefore, you should "top off" the tank with freshwater on a regular basis.

In a saltwater tank there are lots of things to dose in your tank. The main two however are calcium and alkalinity. A two part system should be used for this, like B-Ionics. This isn't as important in a fish only tank.

i get my water from the town.... havent had any problems with that

Well you are having problems with that - the algae. Using an RO/DI unit will help a ton with algae.

my skimmer is preforming good i gess i need to clean it tho

You should be cleaning this out at least weekly, because eventually the build up will decrease the efficiency of the skimmer. A skimmer that is performing well should need to be cleaned more than once a week, due to the amount of skimmate.

hmm i have only 3 snails for clean up crew

In a 75G tank, you can get more snails. I'd try 10-12 astreas, they do a great job.

my lighting is a florecent strip light tha is a 110 wats

This is not enough light for anemones, they are photosynthetic organisms, and need much more light to live. You can try feeding them with krill to maybe help them live.

haev recently seen die are my my hermit crab a small sanil and a mandrin

The mandarin probably starved. Generally they need 50-60 lbs of fully matured live rock to get enough to eat. The live rock should be matured in your tank for 6 months at least. A refugium will also help quite a bit in providing live food for the mandarin. Also, a few snails and hermits out of a group will die IME.

and how do i clane my subtrait ????

You should gravel vacuum the substrate when you are syphoning out water during a water change.

i have a penguin bio filter duble weels and a fluva 404

Cleaning these out at least once a week will help with nutrient build up and algae.

Too keep your skimmer performance up you should clean the collection cup and skimmer neck every other day at a minimum...this is the reason that I will be running 3 skimmers on my 240, that way I dont lose skimmer production while one skimmer is down and out after cleaning
