I plan on having 2 Ocellaris clownfish and 1 firefish. I'm going to have around 24 lbs. of live rock, but I don't know about the substrate. Does that sound about right? I haven't reached anything about equiptment, so any advice on equiptment would be great. Any posts are greatly appreciated ![]() -Nick |

CC you'll have to gravel vac, keep in mind. ![]() It's great to see more people getting into the hobbby. As mentioned, read up on the articles sticked to the forum. They should help you out a lot! In addition, pick up a couple of good books and start reading. I'm going to recommend to you the same beginners book that was recommended to me when I started in this hobby; Anthony Calfo and Robert Fenner's Marine Invertebrates. It's lengthy but they write with humor so it makes for a great read. Pick up Calfo's Book of Coral Propagation too if you get the chance, and any of the Pocket Expert Guides for when you're doing stocking work. ![]() HTH a bit, feel free to post more questions. -Ferret -Formerly known as the Ferretfish ![]() |
