Just got my two media reactors up and running.

assembled
I realized after putting in the white phosphate absorber that, yeah, that sponge is probably meant to go on the bottom, this is before I swapped it around. I thought at first it was supposed to be on the top to keep the media from escaping.

In the sump

They're running off a Viaaqua 1300 powerhead that does about 250 gallons per hour. Doesn't seem to be ideal for running two like this, it needs more flow for the heavy phosphate absorber. The carbon is fluidized about perfectly though. Each of them is loaded about 1/4 capacity, they can hold about 1 liter of media.

Should be cool.
