They need AT LEAST a 150 gallon tank to house just one of them. All plecos, even the small ones, are basically poop machines. They can really foul water up fast so you really have to keep up on the maintenance. If you're looking for a pleco (notice I said "a". You could only get 1  ) for your tank, I'd recommend something like a bristlenose. Again, it's a non-stop crapper, so make sure you have a strict cleaning schedule.  |
