Stocking a 95G | |
Fishrockmysox Hobbyist Posts: 94 Kudos: 58 Votes: 12 Registered: 20-Oct-2006 | Well here's a kinda-sorta picture of the Shape for the tank. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c309/top321/tank.jpg It dosen't look exactly like that, it's just to give you an idea. That is a "top view" because I'm not sure how to do a "front view" so yeah lol What would you stock a 95 Gal tank with? I want Cichlids and some community fish. 10G- 6 Zebra Danios, 1 Upside Down Catfish 20G- 1 Goldfish 72G(maybe95)- Need Stock suggestions |

With cichlids, something hardy and not too small would be ideal. A large group of 20 or so black skirt tetras would be fantastic. Or you could go with a more boistrous grouping and get tiger or odessa barbs or something. What kind of bottom feeders do you like? Are you a cory cat or loach person? Or maybe you like plecos or catfish? A pictus cat or syno cats would be nice in a tank that big, or a large group of corys, or even the larger brochis would be cool. Also, how do you plan to decorate your tank? Planted, semi-planted, plastic plants? The neat shape of the tank might offer you some interesting aquascaping choices. My personal favorite aquascaping choice lately is lots of bogwood covered in lots of anubias. It's super easy to care for, doesn't require a lot of light, and even digging fish can't move it around if it's secured well to the wood. Some rockwork with caves for the cichlids would be nice, too. Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean... |

They tend to get along with less aggressive cichlids, and the only thing you have to worry about with them is their mild elctric current. They can fry smaller fish but wont touch bigger fish unless provoked. Even then a large fish can easy survive the shock. I'd atleast look up some info on these guys. They can provide HOURS of entertainment. |

I'm a loach person but I like cories. I find them quite cute(but I like clowns too) -to- illustrae 10G- 6 Zebra Danios, 1 Upside Down Catfish 20G- 1 Goldfish 72G(maybe95)- Need Stock suggestions |
