i think it might be interesting, but i don't see how a filter would possibly fit on this setup. the only thing i really worry about is keeping the filtration going. well, that and how much power it would probably use to keep all the powerheads running in unison

nice, but yes it could use an internal filter. or depending on how big the corners are and if their hollow, you could put on in there.

question would be, is to what to put in it?

Ive been meaning to get a set up similar to this for my fish room. Seems very intresting and may look quite nice.

My concern would be on the sound and fish stress, when one puts a cup or a glass on the table part it makes a thump sound...How much would that affect the fishs health and well being?

It could be avoided by using coasters, sure, but there will be someone that clangs that cup on the glass and disregards setting the cups appropriately, as there always are.
