Are you going to try to save all of them? Maybe you would like to try to put them in a net breeder for a while. How big is the tank that they are in? I got my first platy fry literally one day after I bought the mother. I didn't know what to do with the babies and all were eaten by the tankmates. I saved 9 from the second batch and by now I have a small overpopulation problem , as even when not protected some new fry manage to hide long enough until they are too big to be eaten. Ingo |

You could get a bigger tank and set it up to breed your guppies, and possibly sell them to your local fish stores. http://www.thousandfootkrutch.com http://www.hawknelson.com |

ku5626 Hobbyist Posts: 76 Kudos: 61 Votes: 7 Registered: 09-Jan-2006 | Yea, the weird thing is, is that i just bought her and the day i looked in the tank and i saw a little bugger swimming by the surface of the water so i set her up in a breeding trap, and she had over 20 but i only managed to save 18, i saw another one in the tank but i lost it before i could get it......but i think the funnest part was watching her have them...[there heads would pop out first, then they would wiggle themselfs free...] but some came out unborn, [yellow balls wiht two little eyes] i have them set up in a 6 gallon But the famale is doing great...when do u think she will have babies again??? THANKS...Lucas |
