Well, the day came to take my "baby platys" to the lfs... Having grown to about an inch in length in approx 4 months and having 40 or so my 20 gal tank was getting a little over-crowded! All babies were quite healthy - and once again, I was complimented on the quality of my fish by the lfs staff... Was even asked what I did to make my fish so healthy!!!!!
Although I did keep a couple of my favorites, it was a little sad to let my babies go ---- I'd become quite proud of them! And let's face it, they were quite entertaining! Any time I'd get near the tank they'd swarm over expecting to be fed! I could stick a couple of my fingers in the tank and they'd gently nibble!!! Yes, while I hope each and every one of them finds a good permanent home, I can't say I won't miss them.....
But life does go on, and now that my 20 gal is empty I'm going to begin visiting the Breeding and Cichlid forums more regularly - as I'd like to put my paired Angels in the 20 gal and see them spawn and have another round of babies to attend to! Wish me luck!

cool i just got 50 or more fry yesterday. can't wait for them to grow up good luck with the angels

I feel the same way about my Guppies... The mate (phoneshanne) is always saying "you need to get rid of those guppies!" (because I have so many fry) but it saddens me to have to give them away... and is always very hard. I feel for you! I'm sure they will find a wonderful home.
