Stocking 29g | |
jodecii Hobbyist Posts: 51 Kudos: 26 Votes: 0 Registered: 28-Jan-2006 | Hello all, I am looking for advise on stocking my 29g tank. Currently in the tank I have 2 dwarf gourmis, 5 danios. I can give my danios to a friend if they are not compatable with the fish I wish to have in my tank. I am interested in the mollies, platies, guppies, and swordtails. My hopes is to have an assortment of fish. So if I add 3 mollies 3 guppies 3 platies 4 panda cories in addition to my 2 dwarf gouramis and 5 danios will this be an overload? I am also interested in getting a frog of some sort for the tank. Should I get rid of my danios? Is there a better combination of fish? I am also worried about the fry overtaking the aquarium. But I have heard they will be eaten? Is this true. Any advise would be appriciated. Jody |

I would get Female guppies, because the Zebras wont be as tempted to nip them. I agree with droping the Mollys. They would get to big for that small of a tank. Also, cories do better in groups of 6 or more. I would do this: 2x Dwarf Gourmies 5x Danios (Zebras right?) 3x Guppies (F) 3x Plattys 6x Panda Cories The livebearers will eat most of the fry, what they don't eat your other fish will. Inky |

I think you can add an ADF, they stay small and don't tend to eat fish. You can't add an ACF because they get big and eat fish like there's no tomorrow. "Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder." |
