i have a group that have never met of about 14 mollies. at first i was going to split them up into two ten gallons but i am now thinking of putting them all into my 20 gallon? will it work? and when can i do this b/c one of my mollie groups is just coming back from a ich infection, but they are all better.

I would give it a couple weeks before introuducing the mollies without ich to the mollies that had ich. Also i would add them to the 20 gallon slowly as adding too many fish at one time could be harmful to the fish. Furthermore, for mollies you want about a gallon per inch and since mollies are around 2 inches, 14 in a 20 gallon is really pushing it.

i think putting 8 in the 20 and the other 6 in a 10, u see although they will fit, its like having 5 people live in a trailer, it will work, but people will complain about space, and privicy, butthey will live, if you fill up a 20 gallon that has bare minimum plants and decor, if it has lots of plants bush out around the edges, with plenty of caves and such, then yes it will work, fish probly get sick of turning around and seeing the same thing day after day, but if there are caves and plants, they get to find some alone time, it has worked for my 10, so go ahead and try it
