Hello everyone,
I am looking for some suggestions here. I just bought a 125 gallon tank with Fluval FIlters and power heads and all the accesories from a friend of mine. This is my first saltwater tank. I have had a 10 gal fresh water for the last 2 years. been wanting a larger tank and Now I have it..

I'd recommend your first salt tank to be a FOWLR, or fish only with live rock. An aragonite substrate, about 125-150 lbs of LR, lots of water movement, hopefully some protein skimming, and of course some nice fishes. Later on you can switch it up with some inverts when you get some experience under your belt.

As for fish...again since this is your first journey in marine fish keeping I'd recommend you keep it simple and easy. A lot of fish on this page are good beginner fish, just note they aren't all compatible, and avoid the tangs, angels, and butterflies, as they aren't really beginners fishes. If you pick some of those out and put up a list here we can help you with compatibility and stocking numbers.
