I just went to the store and bought some water sprite and a small group of harlequins.

Here are some pictures.

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought Water Sprite was a floating plant. Is it another variety that can be rooted. Saying that a floating plant would be helpful for that tank to give cover for the fish.
I have had floating Water Sprite in my tank for many many years

Also is there a backing if not I would suggest a flat black paint would make a big difference.

You seem to have thought out the layout of the tank well done.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Water sprite can float or be planted.

Your tank looks pretty nice, can't wait for all the plants to grow in more!

Yes there is a bolivian ram. I hope to get a female to go along with this guy as soon as the LFS gets some in.

I like the layout too. It's going to be a very natural looking tank.
